31 October 2024

At the online meeting held on October 31 as part of the project "All of us - Intercultural program for multiethnic secondary schools in Serbia", attended by representatives of the Ministry of Education, the Sombor Regional School Administration and the Niš Regional School Administration, the main results of the project and the coclusions were presented, as well as recommendations for improving policies and practices related to intercultural education and democratic culture in schools.

Over the past year, 100 students and 20 employees from four schools from multicultural environments participated in the project - School of Textile and Leather Design from Novi Pazar, Gymnasium "Sveti Kirilo i Metodije" from Dimitrovgrad, Technical School "Ivan Sarić" from Subotica and Gymnasium "Svetozar Marković" from Novi Sad. The project included building the capacity of students and employees on the topic of interculturality, namely the implementation of training and workshops for students and the organisation of two accredited webinars for employees.

One of the main results of the project is that students and employees have acquired new knowledge, while a significant number of students have changed their attitudes on topics related to interculturality and democratic culture.

Schools have also prepared action plans related to the current school year, which will contribute to the sustainability of activities that encourage interculturality and democratic culture even after the end of the project.

The project "All of us - Intercultural program for multiethnic secondary schools in Serbia" is supported by the United States Department of State, US Embassy in Belgrade.
