In Vrnjačka Banja, on April 27 and 28, representatives of schools participating in the ARISE project, as well as representatives of parents, local self-government units and local communities from school environments, gathered to exchange experiences in implementing project activities.
This two-day event was an opportunity to present, among other things, school actions to reduce the negative impact of students’ low socio-economic status on the education, and to discuss social values that lead to the reduction of inequality, as well as tools for the prevention and fight against discrimination and prejudice in education.
The members of the National Platform for Cooperation also participated in the meeting, who discussed the Policy roadmap for improving the effectiveness of support for families and children at the local level, which they had previously created during the project, as well as ways to advocate for it.
"ARISE: Action for Reducing Inequalities in Education" is a regional project implemented in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo*, North Macedonia, Serbia and Turkey, financed by the European Commission.
